Leopoldo Anywar College conducts a comprehensive annual Scholarship Program. A scholarship is a financial grant awarded to a student, based either on academic merit or on excellence in the fields outlined in the LA College Scholarship Program.
Each financial grant awarded to scholarship winners is at the discretion of the Principal and his committee and may vary from year to year. All scholarship holders are expected to complete their secondary education at LA College, to maintain high standards of academic achievement and behaviour, and to contribute positively and enthusiastically to all aspects of school life including the co-curricular program.
Each scholarship holder’s progress in the school and contribution to the wider life of the school will be reviewed annually. No student may hold more than one scholarship at any one time.
SCHOLARSHIP
Up to 4 LA College Scholarships are available to students who have performed very well at primary school, or in the initial years of LA College study or at another high school, and who are enrolling for the first time at LA College.
Eligibility
As a general guide, these scholarships will only be offered to students achieving the highest high school entrance scores, or students who have achieved at a similar high standard in another high school. New and continuing students can all apply base on their studies results of the previous academic year.
On-going Eligibility
To retain this award, recipients are required to achieve a minimum Credit or Distinction result in all units studied each semester.
Amount: Payment of School fees
Duration: Up to four years (subject to continuing high-level academic performance and good conduct
Closing Date: Last Friday of February of each year
Apply: Application form can be obtained from student service desk. Apply online prior to closing date. Applications cannot be submitted after closing date.
